Organized under the supervision and coordination of Asst. Lecturer Semra Karaali from the Department of Foreign Languages, the musical “The Greatest Showman”, which brought together art and inspiration, was staged on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at our university's conference hall. Focusing on themes such as respect for differences and pursuing one's dreams, the performance left a strong emotional impact on the audience, offering everyone present a glimpse into the dynamic spirit of university life. Taking the stage, embodying characters, and performing in front of an audience greatly contributed to the students’ self-confidence. Throughout the process, they developed a wide range of artistic skills including singing, dancing, and acting, while also gaining the discipline of collaborative work toward a common goal. Rehearsals, group work, and behind-the-scenes organization strengthened team spirit and communication skills. Through stage design, costuming, and performance, students were able to express their creative potential, enhancing their ability to convey emotion and empathize with others. Memorizing English lines and practicing pronunciation, intonation, and stress helped reinforce their language skills in a practical and immersive way. Moreover, the preparation process instilled a strong sense of planning and responsibility. By witnessing such a high-quality artistic production, the audience was enriched culturally. The event also served as a valuable opportunity for those who may not often have access to theater or musical performances.
