Instruction Notes for Final Exam
 
The final exam consists of 7 sections. Please read the instructions for each section carefully.

Section 1: Listening
You will listen to two different audio texts:
  • Part 1: Answer True/False questions based on the first audio. (6 points)
  • Part 2: Fill in the blanks with appropriate words from the second audio. (8 points)
 
Section 2: Vocabulary
This section has three parts:
  • Part 1: Multiple choice questions. (4 points)
  • Part 2: Match the words with their meanings. (4 points)
  • Part 3: Fill in the blanks using the correct word. (5 points)
 
Section 3: Grammar
This section includes two parts:
  • Part 1: Rewrite the sentences using different structures without changing their meaning. (8 points)
  • Part 2: Multiple choice grammar questions. (10 points)
 
Section 4: Functional Language
You will read example situations and write appropriate responses for each. (5 points)
 
Section 5: Reading
You will read one text and answer:
  • 5 True/False questions
  • 5 open-ended questions
    Total: 10 points
 
Section 6: Writing
You will choose one of the four given topics and write a four-paragraph essay based on it. (15 points)
Your essay will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
  • Content & Relevance (3 pts)
  • Organization (3 pts)
  • Grammar & Sentence Structure (3 pts)
  • Vocabulary Use (3 pts)
  • Linking Words (3 pts)
 
Section 7: Speaking
The Speaking section of the final exam consists of two parts: “an individual task” and “a roleplay task”. (25 points)
            1. In the individual part, each student will answer two short questions chosen randomly from different speaking tasks covered throughout the year in Main Course, Contemporary Topics, and Listening & Speaking classes.
            2. In the roleplay part, students will complete a short roleplay activity in pairs based on themes from course materials.
The speaking exam is worth 25 points and will be assessed using a detailed rubric focusing on fluency, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and interaction.
